Vivo IPL 2018 CSK vs KKR 5th Match Prediction, Scorecard, Probable 11, Dream11, Score

After winning their season opener of the Vivo IPL 2018, both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lock horns under hostile circumstances at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai for their second match of the season.

After clinching a victory from the jaws of defeat in the first match of the season against Mumbai Indians, CSK will be raring to go and will be extra-motivated to do well in front of their home fans as IPL will be returning to Chennai after two long years.

Kolkata, on the other hand, are led by yet a Chennai local, Dinesh Karthik, who knows these conditions very well. After crushing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first match of the season, Kolkata will look to do well in a territory and an opposition that has always troubled them.

Coming to the team news, the Karthik-led KKR might bring in English import Tom Curran in place of Aussie pacer Mitchell Johnson. Apart from this, one cannot see any movement taking place in their playing XI.

MS Dhoni is someone who doesn’t like to disturb a winning combination, but the former Indian skipper is forced to make a change to the Chennai Super Kings line-up, as Kedar Jadhav, who walked out to bat and won the match for his team in spite of an injury against Mumbai, is ruled out of the tournament due to a hamstring injury.

Opener Murali Vijay, who missed CSK’s season opener with an injury, is fit and raring to go and is likely to take his place at the top of the order, moving Ambati Rayudu to the middle order.

Let us take a look at the playing XIs of both the teams.
