Vivo IPL 2018 Player Retention: Full list of IPL 2018 Retained Players

Vivo IPL 2018 player retentions:

Vivo IPL 2018 player retentions have been one of the hot and trending topics around the world. With the re-born of banned (2 years back) franchises RR (Rajasthan Royals) and CSK (Chennai Super Kings), the bar has been increased. These two teams being finalists in the first edition of DLF sponsored IPL, has brought the glory back to this 11th edition of IPL.

As per the new IPL retention policy, the maximum spending for any franchise to retain the players should not exceed 33 crores. Having said that, Mumbai played even this retention game very calculatingly. They have spent 33 crores and retained the core of the Mumbai Indians team.

Rohit Sharma – 15 Crores

Hardik Pandya – 11 Crores

Jasprit Bumrah – 7 Crores

They have completed the quota of three capped players for their 33 crores and left out with 2 RTM (Right To Match).

Vivo IPL 2018 Player Retentions – Chennai Super Kings:

MS Dhoni – 15 Cr

Suresh Raina – 11 Cr

Ravindra Jadeja – 7 Cr

Like MI (Mumbai Indians), CSK also completed the quota of their 33 crores with three capped players. This means no Ashwin for CSK.

Vivo IPL 2018 Player Retentions – Delhi Daredevils:

Emerging talent Rishabh Pant for whooping 8 Cr, shining allrounder Chris Morris for 7.1 Cr and classic Shreyas Iyer for 7 crores.

DD is in the safe zone and can get one more capped player from India with 2 RTMs available at Auction.

Still got 3 RTM available at auction to grab Gambhir and other big guns.

RR retained Steven Smith who will be likely captaining the side. Quite interestingly they retained only one player and wanted to build a completely new team for this IPL season. RR provides a platform for young talent for every IPL editions. Let’s see what they have got for this 11th edition.

Most entertaining and 2 times finalists RCB have never put a foot wrong in this IPL retention. Hope that will continue and bring them a trophy at least this time. They retained most promising Virat and Mr. 360.

Orange Army retained the orange cap and purple cap contestants for this 11th edition of IPL.

David Warner – 12 Cr
