Cameron Bancroft has inked an agreement with Durham as their overseas player. This was confirmed by the club on August 17, 2018, to the media in an interview. He will represent the club in all 3 formats and will be obtainable for the complete season.
Being an important figure in the 2019 World Cup campaign of New Zealand, Tom Latham will miss out. “Cameron offers us with a very capable overseas deal who can reinforce up our batting line up and assist us to vie for the cup,” claimed the head coach, John Lewis, to the media in an interview. “Over the last two seasons Latham has done a phenomenal job for us but we expect him being occupied due to the 2019 World Cup, hence we were happy to be capable of bringing Cameron in.
“Cameron is a great talent across all formats and a top order talented batsman. He has the temperament and appetite for scoring huge scores.”
Speaking of Cricket Australia, Justin Langer (Australia coach) confesses that he does not know who the most excellent 6 batsmen in the team are. This is a situation he expects will be resolved over the weeks to come with the “A” tour of India.
The men’s cricket team of Australia is in a phase of flux after the disaster of ball tampering in March. The Test team encounters a 2-match series in opposition to Pakistan in October in the UAE with spots in the batting order broad open.
“It is extraordinary. We are going to wait probably until a week prior to the UAE tour to choose the Test team,” Langer claimed to the media in an interview this week.
“The answer is direct ‘no’. Do we know the most excellent 6 batsmen in team Australia? The answer is ‘no’.”
