Fox Expands Its Commentary Team Adding Healys And Perry

Fox Sports recently announced that the agency earlier expanded its commentary team. The agency proclaimed the addition of three more voices to its cricket commentary team for the coming summer. Ian Healy, Australian ex-wicketkeeper, along with the present Australian stars Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry all are reported to be signing on.

Fox Sports television network validated the news that Healy, who is a 119-Test team member and former commentator from Channel Nine; Alyssa, who presently works as a wicketkeeper at the Australian Women’s Cricket Team; and Perry—the globally ranked all-rounder—are supposed to be a part of upcoming coverage this season.

The trio will join the likes of Mel Jones, Shane Warne, Isa Guha, Adam Gilchrist, Allan Border, Mark Waugh, Michael Vaughan, and Mike Hussey behind the microphone. Fox Sports is supposed to broadcast each and every international men’s and women’s game in addition to both Big Bash Leagues. These matches will be broadcasted as a part of the latest $1.182 Billion broadcast contract. This deal has also seen Channel Seven’s occupation for the free-to-air rights from the Nine and Ten networks.

On a similar note, earlier, Tim Paine came into the news as he could not make it possible to win from his past six matches in charge of Australia. However, Ian Healy, the ex-Test wicketkeeper, stated that the Australian team is “lucky” to have Tim Paine.

Healy proclaimed that Australia is facing a distressing shortage of cricketing experience. He added that the team had no choice but to offer the captaincy to Paine. Reportedly, Paine was trying for his state selection earlier past year. However, the 119-Test player-turned-commentator accepted that he would not have been the preferred choice if the Australian team had other experienced players to refer to after Steve Smith’s suspension for ball-tampering.
