Buttler And Root To Action With Sydney Thunder In BBL 2018–2019

Joe Root and Jos Buttler went into the Sydney Thunder for 2018–19 Big Bash League and were associated on Friday. Both the English captain and his deputy will appear in seven games before moving ahead to the Caribbean Championship.

Root will work on himself to come out as T20 batsmen, especially after not getting a place in the team against India in T20I series. Since 2016, T20 World Cup final, Root has played total 12 matches in the 20 over format; this includes eight for England and four for Yorkshire, due to their national commitments.

Buttler can already be seen in the Thunder and played last six games. “I adore my time there, there is a great atmosphere in the team,” Root said.

“There are many young boys, and also some with few experiences, comprising Shane Watson, with whom I really learn a lot and play under his controls.

“It’s a great part of the world and a great amusing in the dressing room, I’m very happy to come back in the Thunder Nation.”

Shane Bond, the main trainer, hopes that the English duo will make a great impression and the additions will be felt by the opposition in the tournament. “It’s great for the team to have two of their best players with us.” Everyone knows Jos is one of the finest T20 players in the world, I know him very well from our time in Mumbai Indians,” he said.

“I think you look at the team and batting line up and it’s a team that will turn into strength in the contest.”

“Our fans want us to work together that can lead to the win in the competition. We have a young team that has developed last year and when you take on world-class players on the team that will certainly change the look of the team, He added”
